Sleeping in Seattle

I LOVE Seattle. Pies and I decided to go there for his last weekend over here. The first night we decided to stay in one of the Tablet Hotels - the Ace Hotel. Tablet Hotels are pretty much the Hip Hotels worldwide. Usually they're way out of our price range, but we found a unique one that was a budget hotel. It was so stylie. The bathrooms were separate to the rooms, which I know would drive most people mad, but it really wasn't too bad...and the rooms were really cool and they put on a scrummy free brekkie. It's hard to describe, it really was very hip!

The next night we basked in the luxurious glory of the Grande Hyatt Seattle. Thanks to all the ads Pies makes and earns Hyatt points for. I'm not sure whether it was because Pies is a points member, or whether it was because he ticked the 'honeymooners' box (naughty monkey) when he booked online, but we were treated like royalty. We were given a gorgeous corner suite with a view of the Pike Place fish market and the Sky Needle. We had access to the members lounge with free breakfast and snacks all day long and happy hour cheeses and treats, we returned to our room to find chocolate dipped strawberries and a free bottle of lovely wine. It was bliss!

It was a huge weekend because the Seahawks, the local football team, won the first final game in something like 20 years. They are playing in the Superbowl final this Sunday.

Otherwise, we ate, shopped, tried to guess where Frasier lived, and Pearl Jam and Nirvana played and where Tom Hanks pined for Meg Ryan. I was sad to leave.
